2026 Cup Grand Opening - Be part of the action as a volunteer!
Would you like to take a look behind the scenes of the Table Tennis Bundesliga’s new event and see the stars up close at the 2026 Cup Grand Opening? Then apply now to be a volunteer and be there in person on August 29 and 30, 2026, at the Kia Metropol Arena in Nuremberg!
With the Cup Grand Opening, the Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL) is kicking off the 2026–27 season this year with a completely new event format. For the first time, the round of 16 and quarterfinals of the German Table Tennis Cup will be held centrally over a single weekend at one venue. On August 29 and 30, 2026, all twelve TTBL clubs, along with four qualifiers from the preliminary round group, will face off at the Kia Metropol Arena in Nuremberg to compete for a spot in the 2027 Liebherr Cup Final4.
And you can be there live and up close as a volunteer. The Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL) is looking for dedicated volunteers to support the team in organizing and running the Cup Grand Opening.
The areas of responsibility are diverse and range from setup and takedown to admission control, spectator support, and press services, all the way to hosting VIP guests. No matter which area you’re assigned to at the Cup Grand Opening—you can look forward to a unique behind-the-scenes look at a major sporting event. Experience the stars of the Table Tennis Bundesliga up close and be there when the first decisive knockout rounds of the new Cup season are played over the course of a weekend.
