Who will secure the first title of 2027?
The year 2027 gets underway with a sporting highlight: At the Liebherr Pokal Final4 in Ulm/Neu-Ulm, defending champions 1. FC Saarbrücken Tischtennis, Borussia Dortmund, TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell and SV Werder Bremen will battle for the first title of the season. In the semi-finals, Saarbrücken, led by World Cup winner Hugo Calderano and Germany international Patrick Franziska, will face Final4 debutants Borussia Dortmund, while Fulda-Maberzell, featuring Germany international Dimitrij Ovtcharov, take on last season’s finalists Werder Bremen, who return to the big cup stage after a one-year absence.
The event will begin with the semi-finals, which will once again be played simultaneously on two tables. The final will follow immediately after the two semi-final matches, with the winner being crowned the 2026/27 German Cup champion. The arena will open 90 minutes before the start of the semi-finals.
