Fulda lands next coup against Grenzau

TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell won 3:0 against TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau on the 18th matchday of the German Table Tennis League (TTBL). The Fulda players once again demonstrated their strength in the second half of the season and caused an unexpected setback for the Grenzau team in the battle for the coveted play-off places.

The first match of the evening between Feng Yi-Hsin (Grenzau) and Wong Chun Ting (Fulda) developed into a real thriller. Both players showed top performances right from the start and fought doggedly for every point. After an intense five-set match, in which all sets ended with a difference of just two points, Wong Chun Ting narrowly retained the upper hand and secured victory with a tight 3:2 (9:11, 11:9, 11:13, 11:9, 9:11).

After Wong Chun Ting, Ruwen Filus also scores

The second singles match did not disappoint in terms of excitement and spectacular rallies. Maciej Kubik faced Ruwen Filus and desperately tried to find a gap in his defense. However, Filus proved to be extremely solid and gave Kubik little room to develop. With precise attacks and a strong defensive performance, Filus won with a clear 3:0 (7:11, 7:11, 8:11), which meant another important point for the Fulda team.

Fanbo Meng closes the deal

Samuel Walker took on Fanbo Meng in the third singles match. But even Walker was unable to stop the Fulda team's strong performance. Meng dominated the match right from the start and put Walker under pressure with aggressive attacks and impressive speed. In the end, Meng recorded a clear 3:0 victory (3:11, 5:11, 6:11) to secure the overall win for Fulda. After the match, Fanbo Meng had a few words to say about his team's good performance in the second half of the season. "We were able to play all of our players in the last few games.
As a result, we have a very strong doubles team and a good number one in the team, and the numbers two and three in the team can also benefit from that.We are very satisfied with the last few games and now we are trying to finish the last three games with victories."
