TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau adds Liang Yanning to its roster
TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau has made another move in the transfer market, adding Chinese player Liang Yanning to its roster. The Bundesliga table tennis club has thus finalized its roster for the new season; the team is now complete with Feng Yi-Hsin, Liam Pitchford, Maciej Kubik, Martin Allegro, Sam Walker, and now Liang Yanning.
The 25-year-old is regarded as a dynamic right-hander with an offensive playing style. Internationally, he made a name for himself at the 2022 WTT Contender in Muscat, among other events. During his career, he was also part of the extended Chinese national team setup and gained valuable experience within the extremely competitive Chinese table tennis system. At TTC, Liang Yanning is primarily expected to help add depth to the roster, for example, should Feng Yi-Hsin ever be unavailable.
“Liang Yanning has the quality to help us out exactly when we need him,” says TTC head coach Chen Zhibin, who played a key role in the signing thanks to his experience, knowledge of the Asian market, and contacts. “He gives us added security and more options for the season. I’m convinced of his athletic ability and believe he’s a great fit for us and our team.”
