Strong opinions and extensive experience at the table: Timo Boll becomes table tennis expert at Dyn
Four Olympic medals, 19 European championship titles, two World Cup victories, and eleven Champions League triumphs with Borussia Düsseldorf—Timo Boll's career came to an end last summer. The German table tennis legend is now returning to the big stage: as a Dyn expert, he will be contributing his experience from the table in the future. Boll will make his first appearance on November 12.
He will then accompany table tennis fans through the match between “his” Borussia from Düsseldorf and his former club, Borussia Dortmund. On December 16, he will also accompany the match between Düsseldorf and Mühlhausen, and shortly before Christmas there will be a special encounter: as an expert, Boll will accompany the match between 1. FC Saarbrücken Tischtennis and Borussia Düsseldorf. This will be a reunion between Boll and Chinese table tennis star Fan Zhendong, who plays for FCS, at the Saarlandhalle.

Documentary offers unique insights into his career
Dyn had already honored Timo Boll's international career in the summer: for the eight-part documentary “Timo Boll – Der letzte Aufschlag” (Timo Boll – The Last Serve), Dyn accompanied him closely for months, conducted interviews with his companions, and viewed more than 200 hours of video material. The resulting documentary gives fans and viewers a behind-the-scenes look at his last season, highlighting the sporting highlights of his career, but also showing very private moments.
