Two days after the end of the European Championship, the next highlights are waiting in the Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL): The starting signal for the 4th matchday will be given on Tuesday evening between SV Werder Bremen and TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen. In the further course of the match day, 1. FC Saarbrücken TT and Borussia Düsseldorf will each be hoping for their fourth victory.

SV Werder Bremen - TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen

Mattias Falck achieved something historic only yesterday, Sunday: with the national team, the 32-year-old celebrated the European Championship and thus the first title for the Swedish men's team in 21 years. Already tomorrow, Tuesday, Falck is scheduled to serve again in the Tischtennis Bundesliga (TTBL) for SV Werder Bremen, when TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen are the guests. "The spectators can look forward to an absolute treat. We will try to pull off the surprise against one of the top contenders for the German championship," Werder team manager Sascha Greber announced. TTF President Kristijan Pejinovic says: "With Bremen, we can expect a team that started the season well with two wins and was also able to keep up for a long time against Düsseldorf. They are certainly one of the co-favorites for the play-offs this season."

ASV Grünwettersbach - Post SV Mühlhausen

Home strength is the big trump card of ASV Grünwettersbach and had catapulted Achim Krämer's team to fifth place last season. In the new season, however, the team has only managed to score at home so far: the 3-0 opening win over Fulda was followed by a surprising 0-3 defeat away to Saarbrücken, which was weakened by a lack of players. On Friday, Grünwettersbach should once again set the mood at home in the table tennis center - but ASV faces a difficult task. Last year's fourth-placed team, Post SV Mühlhausen, has made a brilliant start to the season. Despite the injury to Irvin Bertrand, the Thuringians celebrated victories against Ochsenhausen and Fulda (3:1 each) and are currently in third place.

TSV Bad Königshofen - Borussia Düsseldorf

TSV Bad Königshofen has very good memories of its most recent encounter with Borussia Düsseldorf: last January, thanks to two singles victories by Kilian Ort and the doubles success of Bastian Steger and Martin Allegro, the team scored a 3:2 coup. However, the record champion and defending champion will still be the favorites on Saturday evening: The Düsseldorf team has already collected three victories this season, although they recently struggled in a 3-2 win over Bremen, while Bad Königshofen has only been able to celebrate once before. The most recent loss was a 3-1 defeat to Saarbrücken, another clash with a top team. Before that, there had been a 3-0 defeat in Mainz and a 3-0 loss to Grenzau for the team from Lower Franconia.

FSV Mainz 05 - TTC Schwalbe Bergneustadt

FSV Mainz 05 waited in vain for their first win of the season so far, but at least they had their first individual success recently: returnee Luka Mladenovic celebrated a 3:1 against Hugo Calderano, and even though he could not avert the 1:3 defeat against Ochsenhausen, he is now expected to play a key role again against TTC Schwalbe Bergneustadt. The guests come with vice European champion Benedikt Duda and the recommendation of a solid start to the season: a 0:3 against Saarbrücken was followed by a 3:0 against Grenzau, which means that the TTC is currently on target - with a win in Mainz, Duda and Co. now want to extend their small lead over the relegation zone on Sunday.

TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau - 1. FC Saarbrücken TT

In the second home match of the season, TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau will face a top team for the second time: Three weeks after the duel with Düsseldorf (0:3), the team will now face 1. FC Saarbrücken TT. And while Grenzau currently stands at 2:4 points, Saarbrücken's vest is still white - the reigning runners-up beat both Bergneustadt and Grünwettersbach (3:0 each) and Bad Königshofen (3:1). "With Düsseldorf and Saarbrücken, we naturally have an extremely difficult opening program in Brexbachtal," says TTC manager Markus Ströher ahead of Monday's clash. "Against Düsseldorf we were relatively without a chance this time with 0:3. Against Saarbrücken, we want to try to make it harder for the opponent again. Nevertheless, we know of course about the great quality that the opponent brings to Grenzau."
