75 Days to Go Until the Liebherr Pokal Final4: Neu-Ulm Set for a Showdown

In 75 days, the first title of the year will be decided. On January 3, 2027, 1. FC Saarbrücken-TT, Borussia Dortmund, SV Werder Bremen and TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell will compete for the German Table Tennis Cup at the Liebherr Pokal Final4. For the twelfth consecutive year, the event will take place at the ratiopharm arena in Ulm/Neu-Ulm. Tickets start at €19.

The date shortly after the turn of the year has long been a fixture in the German sporting calendar, and fans can once again look forward to a first-class event this season. On January 3, 2027, the Liebherr Pokal Final4 returns to Neu-Ulm, bringing together some of the biggest stars in table tennis. Patrick Franziska and Hugo Calderano (both 1. FC Saarbrücken-TT) are expected to compete, alongside Dimitrij Ovtcharov (TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell), Mattias Karlsson (SV Werder Bremen), as well as Kristian Karlsson and Anders Lind (both Borussia Dortmund).

The format makes the Liebherr Pokal Final4 unique in German table tennis. At 11 a.m., both semifinals will begin simultaneously on two adjacent tables. Spectators can therefore look forward to two thrilling encounters full of tension and drama. The two winners will then face each other in the final. Immediately afterwards, following a short changeover, the showdown will take place on the centre court, deciding who will lift the first trophy of the season.

Tickets for the Liebherr Pokal Final4 Starting at €19

Anyone who wants to be there in person and experience the excitement can secure their ticket now. Tickets start at just €19 and are available through the official ticket shop of the Tischtennis Bundesliga (TTBL), by phone at +49 761 888499 99, and at all authorised ticket outlets. The official Reservix resale platform also offers maximum flexibility: anyone who is unable to attend at short notice can conveniently resell their ticket there.

The ratiopharm arena has been the home of the Liebherr Pokal Final4 since the 2015/2016 season. The table tennis event has firmly established itself in the region, as attendance figures demonstrate. In recent years, the arena has consistently sold out, with 5,200 fans witnessing 1. FC Saarbrücken-TT's triumph last January.

The Two Semifinals Promise High-Voltage Action

Saarbrücken will once again be chasing the title this season. 1. FC Saarbrücken-TT will compete in the Liebherr Pokal Final4 for the sixth consecutive time and face Borussia Dortmund in the semifinal. For BVB, it marks a first: the club has qualified for the event in Neu-Ulm for the first time in its history.

On the adjacent table, two teams with unfinished business will meet. SV Werder Bremen returns to the Liebherr Pokal Final4 after being eliminated by Saarbrücken in the semifinals in 2025. TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell continues its quest for the first title in the club's history. The team from eastern Hesse has reached the cup final five times and lost on every occasion, most recently to Saarbrücken (1–3) last year.
